® can be programmed to operate up to three remote-controlled devices, such as a garage door opener, estate gate and security lighting, providing additional comfort and security.
REMOTE START SYSTEM
Starts the engine from outside the vehicle by using the Remote Keyless Entry key fob. Features a targeted range of approximately 90 metres (300 feet). Operates when the vehicle is locked and the transmission is in Park. Upon starting, the vehicle remains in Remote Start mode for 15 minutes, after which it shuts down.
UCONNECT PHONE

™ phone Hands-Free calling with Voice Command provides communication between your personal Bluetooth
™ compatible cellular phone and the vehicle's onboard receiver, helping the driver stay focused on driving when placing and receiving calls. Incoming voice is broadcast through the vehicle's front stereo speakers, and a microphone in the rear-view mirror picks up occupants' voices for transmission, keeping hands free for driving by using voice recognition to dial from your personal phone list.
The system can interface with up to five separate phones, ideal for households with two or more cellular phones.
BOSTON ACOUSTICS® SPEAKER SYSTEM
Available six-speaker system with 276-watt digital amplifier, or seven-speaker system with 368-watt digital amplifier and subwoofer, provide a smooth octave-to-octave tonal balance, natural frequency response and uncoloured presentation free of distortion. Also features digital signal processing, amplifier and subwoofer (if equipped).
KICKER® SURROUND SOUND
The available KICKER
® Mobile Surround Sound system features 13 SRT High-Performance KICKER speakers in seven locations with a 322-watt digital amplifier and 200-watt subwoofer amplifier. Included with SRT Option Group II.
REAR SEAT DVD
Includes a centre console-mounted DVD player and seven-inch LCD screen, battery-powered remote control, and two wireless headsets, allowing rear seat passengers to watch a movie while the driver and front passenger enjoy the audio system. The system plays video/audio DVDs, WMA, audio CDs, MP3 audio discs and video CDs. Auxiliary audio and video jacks enable users to show video camera footage, play video games and play music directly from their MP3 player. Mute and stop movie switches are located for easy access by the driver.
SIRIUS™ SATELLITE RADIO
As satellite radio provider to Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, SIRIUS
™ Satellite Radio is factory installed and includes a one-year subscription with free online listening. Every drive will be full of discovery with 120 channels, including 69 commercial-free music channels and the best programming in sports, talk, comedy, and news. SOUND SYSTEMS
Standard on all models is Media Centre 130 CD/Mp3 radio with audio jack. SE id equipped with four-speakers, all other models also have as standard SIX Boston Acoustics
® speakers with a 276-watt amplifier. Optional on SXT, R/T and SRT8 is the multimedia Media Centre 430 CD/DVD/HDD radio with 6.5-inch touch screen, 30GB hard drive with 6,700 song capacity, and audio jack. Also available on these three models is uconnect navigation Media centre 730N CD/DVD/HDD/NAV shares most of the same features as Media Centre 430; its song capacity is 4,250 but it adds GPS, Navigation and includes SIRIUS
™ Satelite Radio, uconnect phone Hands-Free calling with Voice Command and Universal Customer Interface (UCI) which allows operation of a personal iPod
® through the vehicle's radio.
AUTOMATIC OIL CHANGE ALERT
A visual icon on the instrument panel alerts the driver to change the engine oil, providing a convenient reminder to change the engine oil to maintain optimum engine performance and protect internal components. Standard on all models.
CONFIGURABLE IN-CLUSTER EVIC
The Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC) is located in the lower part of the speedometer, and is interfaced with steering wheel-mounted controls (uconnect navigation and uconnect phone , if equipped, radio and vehicle status and personalization settings). The system makes viewing and selection information easy and convenient for the driver, providing an outstanding amount of information as well as the flexibility to customize what information is viewed. The driver can select from more than 120 available screen functions to display, such as personal settings, uconnect
™ phone Hands-Free calling screens, navigation system directions, trip computer functions, outside temperature, compass, audio modes and System Status messages.
UCONNECT GPS WITH NAVIGATION
The Media Centre 730N CD/DVD/HDD/NAV includes GPS navigation, 30GB Hard Disc Drive (HDD), AM/FM/SIRIUS
™ Satellite Radio, CD/DVD player, uconnect

UNIVERSAL CUSTOMER INTERFACE
Universal Customer Interface (UCI) is the system used to connect an iPod
® interface to the vehicle to enable the user to control their iPod through the radio controls and the remote steering wheel switches (if equipped). An iPod can be pulgged into the vehicle's sound system to play music through the vehicle's speakers, charge/recharge the iPod (when ignition is on), display artists/music choices on the radio and pause/play when uconnect receives a call. Included with uconnect
™ phone Hands-Free calling, available on SXT, R/T and SRT8.
Fuel Saver Indicator (FSI)
For 2010, a Fuel Saver Indicator (FSI) has been added to the instrument cluster on Charger. When driving conditions are such to provide optimum fuel-saving, an illuminated symbol changes from “ECO” to “ECO on”. Road conditions, such as downhill runs and coasting will contribute to such fuel savings, but the system can especially help the driver to tailor his or her driving to achieve better fuel economy, particularly in avoiding unnecessary heavy acceleration.
Interactive Decel Fuel Shut-Off (iFDSO)
Interactive Decel Fuel Shut-Off (iFDSO) is a further innovation that helps improve both City and Highway fuel economy. Added for 2010 to Charger models with 5-speed automatic transmission, it is a software feature that turns off fuel to the engine when the car is decelerating. The Fuel Saver Indicator will indicate to the driver when iFDSO is active.
